Over 30 years of playing and coaching experience in Canada, Australia, and the United States. Coaching certifications by Tennis Canada – Level 3 National Coach, Tennis Coaches of Australia, and U.S. Professional Tennis Association – Professional 1 Coach.
In my 23 + years of coaching tennis in Manitoba and being the head tennis professional at Taylor Tennis, I have coached many top Manitoba juniors to a level where they were awarded tennis scholarships at U.S. colleges.
In 1995 I coached the Western Canada Games team to the most successful Canada games result by a Manitoba team.
I am one of only two certified level 3 Tennis Canada coaches in the province of Manitoba.
Mario Tennis Services provides coaching for:
- Juniors – starting from ages 3-5 up to 18 years of age, from beginner levels to intermediate and advanced tournament
level. The beginner and intermediate levels are taught with an emphasis on learning all aspects of the game through fun
oriented atmosphere. The advanced tournament level juniors are taught with an emphasis on maximizing competitive potential
through intense training sessions – individually or through advanced squads including fitness training and goal setting for
national and college levels.
- Adults – Private lessons for all levels which include introduction to the game of tennis, improving strokes,
match play situations, and advanced tournament strategies. We also offer group lessons. Beginner groups are a great
way to meet other players and learn the game through a fun group setting. Ladies competitive groups with doubles
strategies for all levels of play.

ADULT PROGRAMS
Private Lessons:
- Individual coaching. (max 1-2 people)
- One hour per week
- May be arranged at any time with the program director.
- Cost: $62.00 + gst = $65.10
Group Lessons:
- students to coach ratio of 3:1 or 4:1 (min of 3-max of 4)
- time will be arranged with program director after group has been finalized
- Cost: $20.00/person + gst = $21.00/person
**Special note: Adult non-members pay a guest fee of $2.50 + gst extra for each lesson taken.
NOTE: Limited space available in certain program times---Sign up early!
Late session starters will be charged 5% less for each week missed.
Payment is due in full on or before the first day of the program. Installment plan available on request.
If there is more than one child from the same immediate family, a discount of 15% will be given for each additional child. (for group lessons only!)Discount only applies to a full session price.
Depending on space availability, missed classes may be made up by attending a different class time. A maximum of 2 missed classed may be made up during the current session only. No credits will be given for the following session.
When possible, please give advance notice to Mario when unable to attend a class by calling the Club at 488-4480 or Mario’s cell at 955-9428 and leaving a message with the child’s name as well as the day and time of the class to be missed.
